Overview

The Cloud Engineer shall be involved in application infrastructure support and operation hosted in both the Government Data Centre (GDC) and Government Commercial Cloud (GCC). 

What we seek to accomplish together:

• Manages the infrastructure services that enable the application systems environment in patch management asset management etc. for Systems. 
• Supports in application architecture designing integration and acceptance, and infrastructure performance testing. Supports Incident and Problem Management in areas not covered in standard operating procedures. 
• Experience in tracking cases and following up on problem resolution. 
• Experience in planning, managing, and deploying Cloud services with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) such as Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other CSPS. 
• Experience in system architecture, resource planning, infrastructure performance and system hosting environment from server hardware to OS layer (including Virtualization technology and Storage) in Support of new applications.
• Experience in using generic automation and orchestration platforms for Infrastructure Automation tasks (e.g Scripts/Ansible/Terraforms). 
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline and tools, (eg. Bamboo, GitLab; Azure DevOps, SHIP/HAT)
• Strong understanding of systems operations environment to ensure Smooth and sustainable operations, including resiliency requirements. 
• Strong understanding of Government Cloud IT Security Policy. Knowledge of scripting and programming in any scripting language: Powershell, Python, Perly Shell + AWK9 TCLg etc) and communication protocols (RESTg SNMP, SOAP, etc.)

• Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline
• Certified in ITILv3g and preferably a certification in project management.
