Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a Cloud Ops Engineer to support cloud infrastructure operations, automation initiatives, system enhancements, and deployment activities. The ideal candidate should have strong Linux fundamentals, cloud operations exposure, scripting knowledge, and passion for automation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of servers, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and implementation activities
  • Develop and review test cases for services and infrastructure enhancements
  • Conduct system and service testing for new product and service rollouts
  • Monitor environments and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Participate in disaster recovery activities to minimize downtime and service disruptions
  • Develop automation scripts and operational playbooks to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams for CI/CD initiatives
  • Support and maintain build and deployment pipelines
  • Enhance and maintain Jenkins build infrastructure and related tools
  • Evaluate and implement new cloud and DevOps tools to improve operations
  • Ensure cloud security standards and best practices are followed
  • Participate in on-call support rotations when required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in Cloud Operations, System Administration, DevOps, or Infrastructure Support
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems such as RHEL, Ubuntu, or CentOS
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewall basics)
  • Hands-on scripting experience using Python, Shell Script, or Ruby
  • Experience with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, Git, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools is an added advantage
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills

  • Cloud platform exposure (AWS preferred)
  • Experience working in Linux and Windows environments
  • Knowledge of automation, continuous integration, and deployment practices
  • Understanding of cloud security and infrastructure monitoring
