Argyll Scott Hiring! Full Time Reliability - Production Engineer – Fixed Income - Commodities (Contract) in - Ricebowl

1 year- Contract, with a possibility of extension

Our client is a leading global investment bank, currently growing their Site Reliability Engineering function as part of a broader technology transformation. This is a hands-on role embedded in the Fixed Income & Commodities space, supporting front office trading systems where uptime and speed genuinely matter.

You'll be part of a team that owns the full reliability picture — not just firefighting incidents, but proactively building better systems, driving automation, and working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering and business teams across the globe.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting critical Fixed Income & Commodities platforms including trade booking and risk calculation
• Troubleshooting issues across the full stack — software, hardware, application, and network
• Partnering with dev/engineering teams to build and improve trading infrastructure
• Identifying and owning automation opportunities across deployment, management, and observability
• Participating in design reviews and operational readiness exercises
• Working on a follow-the-sun model with regional and global colleagues

What they're looking for:

• 2–5 years of application support experience in financial services
• Solid hands-on skills in Linux, Bash, Python, and SQL
• Comfort with distributed systems and high-availability environments
• Someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and takes real ownership
• Strong communication skills — you'll work across both tech and business teams
• Knowledge of Fixed Income products is a plus
