Research assistant in “Specialist in applications of Riemannian optimization to quantum computing
”
The Nanyang Quantum Solutions team led by Prof. Marek Gluza at NTU Singapore is seeking a new member to propose new quantum algorithmic solutions based on Riemannian geometry.
With whom? With Prof. Marek Gluza at NTU Singapore who is eager to debate with you whether double-bracket quantum algorithms or a different approach are the right one when executing on Helios or Heron. The research group is being formed and see ************* for the intended culture centered on the idea of serving experimental efforts through theoretical support developing quantum middleware solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Use analytical techniques of Riemannian optimization to analyze the performance of quantum algorithms derived, e.g. from double-bracket flows.
- Propose new quantum algorithms and new proof techniques.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or related field
- At least 1 years of relevant experiences in research on quantum algorithms, e.g. final year project
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Riemannian geometry and quantum computing
- Ability to work independently, develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details, excellent organizational and time management skills.
