YOUR ROLE
The Inventory Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels, ensuring high data integrity across warehouse management systems (WMS), and supporting day-to-day warehouse operations within a contract logistics environment. This role ensures timely, efficient, and compliant inventory processes to meet customer requirements and service-level agreements (SLAs)
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Main areas of focus and accountability of the role
1 Inventory Control & Accuracy
· Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure alignment with physical stock.
· Conduct daily cycle counts, weekly checks, and full physical stock takes.
· Investigate inventory discrepancies promptly and provide root-cause analysis with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
· Monitor inventory aging, stock rotations (FIFO/FEFO), and shelf-life controls as required by customers.
2 Data & Systems Management
· Ensure all system transactions (receipts, put-away, transfers, picks, and dispatches) are completed accurately and within the required timeframe.
· Generate inventory-related reports for internal reviews and customer reporting—daily, weekly, and monthly.
· Identify system issues and collaborate with IT/WMS support teams to resolve them.
3 Compliance & Quality Assurance
· Ensure inventory practices comply with customer SOPs, regulatory requirements, and company standards (e.g., ISO, GDP, QHSE).
· Participate in internal and external audits and support documentation preparation.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management
- At least one - two years of relevant working experience
- Excellent MS office knowledge, particularly Excel spreadsheet usage Good experience in using SAP or WMS Problem solving skills
- Meticulous with an eye for details Good planning, writing and communication skills
