Responsible for performing functions associated with optical laser products
Responsible for building and align laser and its optical system
Take responsibility, ownership and accountability to meet production output
Performs testing and troubleshooting of complex systems, subassemblies and PCBA
Test, operate, repair, and maintenance of lasers products that use or incorporate lasers
Install and align optical parts, such as mirrors, lenses, etc.
Familiar to use oscilloscopes, function generator, optical microscope, power meter, spectrum analyzer, etc
Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
Assemble, install and align of mechanical, optomechanical, electromechanical components
Set-up electronic and optical instruments to test laser device
Responsible for review of assembly layout, drawings, and sketches, analyzing test data, and preparing technical reports for engineers
Required Skills:
Higher NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
Strong technical aptitude with a hands-on approach to work
Takes pride in building and delivering high-quality capital equipment
Able to work independently after completing required training
Communicates effectively and works comfortably with all levels, including raising work-related issues to Production Management
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to take on additional responsibilities and learn new skills
Demonstrates a strong quality and safety mindset with meticulous attention to detail
Competent in using basic testing and troubleshooting tools (e.g. digital multimeter, oscilloscope)
Willing to work overtime on weekdays and weekends when required
Willing to work night or rotating shifts if required
Prior experience in a related or similar role will be an added advantage
Scope of work:
To perform the Mechanical and Electrical Assembly, Laser Optics Alignment, Calibration and Final Testing on Capital Equipment in according to Technical Instructions.
To work with vendor to perform the preparation of Capital Equipment for shipment.
To complete the Capital Equipment, build with the takt time.
To monitor and expedite materials delivery to ensure production schedule are met.
To own and be responsible for the entire process of Capital Equipment build, adhering to Company Quality and Safety Requirements
To conduct Preventive Maintenance on equipment promptly.
To monitor calibration schedule for tools and ensure they are calibrated timely in according to schedule.
Expected to be trained and work on 2 or more Capital Equipment
