We are hiring a full time on-site Patent Clerk to join our Intellectual Property department at Shearn Delamore & Co. in WP. Kuala Lumpur.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Patent Clerk, located in WP. Kuala Lumpur.

The Patent Clerk will provide administrative support to the patent team, including managing files, updating data, and monitoring deadlines. Responsibilities include handling the data entry of patent records, preparing and organizing official forms for filing with registries, and assisting with the tracking of incoming correspondence, search reports, and official actions. You will also collaborate with attorneys and clients on patent-related matters, ensuring absolute accuracy and strict compliance with patent laws and regulations.

What You Will Do

• Key in important data like patent numbers, dates, and names into our computer system with high accuracy.
• Fill out official government application forms and get paperwork ready to send to the patent registry.
• Track incoming mail, emails, and official letters from government patent offices, and pass them to the right team members.
• Organize and sort physical and digital files so the team can find them easily.
• Remind the team about upcoming due dates so we never miss a deadline.

Who We Are Looking For

• Diploma holders are welcome to apply.
• Good basic English skills (both reading and writing).
• Familiar with basic computer skills like Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Able to complete tasks on time within strict deadlines
• Any past experience working in an office or handling data entry is a plus, but not required.
