Role Description

Location: Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

Reports To: Country Head


VDart Malaysia is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Country Head, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying, acquiring, and managing IT solutions and technology project opportunities across multiple industries. The incumbent will play a key role in expanding the organization’s IT services portfolio by building strategic client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and delivering customized technology solutions aligned with client requirements.

The role requires a strong understanding of IT consulting, digital transformation, managed services, enterprise solutions, staffing solutions, and project-based engagements. The candidate will work closely with delivery, technical, and operations teams to ensure successful project acquisition and execution while achieving revenue and profitability targets.




Key Responsibilities

1. IT Business Development & Project Acquisition



• Identify and acquire new business opportunities for IT solutions, staffing, digital transformation, managed services, and project-based engagements.


•Drive end-to-end sales activities including lead generation, client presentations, proposal submissions, negotiations, and closures.

•Build a strong pipeline of IT projects and strategic accounts across various sectors.



2. Strategic Client Relationship Management

•Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and decision-makers.

•Understand client business challenges and propose suitable IT solutions and service offerings.

•Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing technology-driven business solutions.



3. IT Solution Consulting



•Collaborate with internal technical and delivery teams to design customized IT solutions based on customer requirements.

•Present service capabilities including software development, infrastructure support, cloud solutions, ERP, cybersecurity, staffing, and managed services.

•Coordinate with pre-sales and technical teams for solution architecture and proposal preparation.



4. Revenue Growth & Profitability



•Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

•Develop strategic plans to improve account growth, profitability, and market penetration.

•Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling IT services to existing customers.



5. Market Intelligence & Industry Analysis



•Monitor market trends, competitor activities, emerging technologies, and industry developments.

•Analyze customer demands and market opportunities to enhance business strategies.

•Identify high-potential industries and clients for IT project expansion.



6. Proposal Management & Contract Negotiation

•Lead RFP/RFQ responses, commercial negotiations, and contract finalization.

•Ensure all proposals align with company policies, compliance standards, and profitability expectations.

•Coordinate with internal stakeholders for timely submission of proposals and project documentation.



7. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

•Work closely with recruitment, operations, delivery, finance, and technical teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

•Provide regular business updates, pipeline reports, and forecasting to the Country Head.



8. Client Retention & Account Management

•Maintain strong post-sales relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

•Resolve escalations and ensure high service delivery standards.

•Implement client retention strategies to minimize churn and strengthen recurring business opportunities.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications



•Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field

•Proven experience in IT business development, IT staffing, or technology sales

•Strong understanding of IT services, digital transformation, and enterprise solutions

•Experience in handling enterprise clients and large-scale IT projects

•Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

•Ability to work independently and drive business growth
