Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Set the direction and own the Crew Auxiliary Services strategy, roadmap, and value proposition in step with the broader services and growth agenda.
  • Surface and rank new service opportunities across the crew lifecycle, spanning recruitment, training, welfare, travel, digital services, compliance, wellbeing, and logistics.
  • Carry full P&L ownership across revenue growth, cost discipline, margin enhancement, and investment prioritisation, with outcomes monitored through clear financial and operational KPIs.
  • Craft pricing frameworks, commercial terms, and profitability benchmarks by service line, underpinned by business cases covering ROI and risk assessments.
  • Convert customer needs into clearly defined service scopes, SLAs, and delivery models, ensuring offerings are repeatable and scalable rather than bespoke.
  • Collaborate with Digital / IT teams to enable data-driven service delivery while satisfying regulatory and compliance obligations across jurisdictions.
  • Spearhead the rollout of crew auxiliary services across managed fleets, weaving offerings into core propositions alongside commercial and crewing teams.
  • Bolster business development by crafting value propositions for new customers and tenders, and extend services to external customers where strategically suitable.
  • Source, negotiate, and oversee strategic partners, vendors, alliances, and potential acquisitions, applying risk and performance governance across the ecosystem.
  • Serve as the single point of accountability for the portfolio, uniting stakeholders across crewing, operations, finance, legal, IT, and regional hubs, and grow a high-performing team as the portfolio matures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Maritime, or a related discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in maritime, shipping, or offshore businesses, ideally with a background in crew management or crew-related service ecosystems
  • Proven track record as a business head or General Manager with full P&L accountability and a record of growing global service businesses; familiarity with platform, digital, or ecosystem-based models, partnerships, joint ventures, or M&A is advantageous
  • Strong capability working within matrixed, international organisations, with experience presenting business cases to senior leadership or boards
  • Excellent stakeholder influencing, commercial acumen, and change leadership skills
