Job Description

Responsibilities

The Fragrance Experience Manager drives retail excellence across a portfolio of luxury fragrance and make-up brands within an assigned territory. As L'Oréal Luxe's primary olfactory and artistry education expert, the role holder elevates the in-store client experience and builds sustained Beauty Advisor capability — operating with autonomy and luxury sensibility befitting a senior field representative. This is a dual-skilled position structured around a 70% fragrance / 30% make-up split.

Key Responsibilities

Fragrance Education & Client Experience (~70%)

1. Olfactory Education & Training Delivery

  • Design and deliver fragrance education programmes covering olfactory fundamentals (fragrance families, accords, raw materials, top/heart/base notes), brand heritage, and consultation techniques
  • Conduct in-store coaching sessions, masterclasses, and sensory workshops to build olfactory confidence and storytelling fluency across retail teams
  • Develop and implement a structured train-the-trainer programme, certifying selected Beauty Advisors as internal fragrance education champions — ensuring knowledge is embedded, scalable, and consistent across all doors without dependency on central facilitation

2. Fragrance Storytelling & Brand Culture

  • Translate complex fragrance narratives into accessible, emotionally compelling client conversations, adapting tone to suit diverse profiles — from first-time fragrance buyers to seasoned enthusiasts
  • Lead new launch education, including briefings, storytelling tools, and team preparation ahead of go-live dates
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to keep education content current and inspiring

3. Elevated Client Experience & Activations

  • Champion personalized fragrance consultation and a fragrance wardrobe philosophy to drive loyalty, ATV, and units per transaction
  • Design and deliver VIP client fragrance experiences in partnership with CRM and retail teams
  • Lead in-store fragrance events (scent journeys, gifting workshops, seasonal animations) and ensure the retail environment meets L'Oréal Luxe standards

Make-Up Artistry & Education (~30%)

4. Make-Up Artistry Training, Talent & Community

  • Develop and deliver make-up artistry training covering complexion, eyes, lips, and face sculpting across diverse skin tones and types
  • Identify and nurture high-potential make-up talents within the retail network, building a pipeline of skilled artistry advocates aligned to L'Oréal Luxe's standards of excellence
  • Lead and animate the Make-Up Expert community across the territory, providing continuous coaching on emerging market trends, advanced artistry techniques, and event management best practices — fostering a culture of ongoing learning and peer-to-peer inspiration
  • Implement a train-the-trainer approach within the make-up category, identifying and developing skilled Beauty Advisors who can independently sustain artistry standards and cascade foundational training to new team members — building team resilience across retail doors
  • Ensure full team readiness ahead of product launches through hands-on application, shade-ranging, and consultation framework sessions

5. Make-Up Activations & Events

  • Lead consumer-facing masterclasses, seasonal look workshops, and artistry events aligned to campaign and launch calendars
  • Contribute to artistry education materials (look books, how-to tools) used across retail and digital channels

Required Profile

  • Min 6 years in field education, retail training, or artistry within luxury or prestige beauty
  • Demonstrable expertise in fragrance retail (olfactory knowledge, client consultation) essential
  • Strong make-up artistry skills across all categories and complexions
  • Experience managing multi-brand portfolios in a field education context — preferred
  • Prior exposure to Travel Retail environments and service protocol development is a plus
