Responsibilities:
Plan, conceptualize, and develop mechanical designs for electronic and power electronics products.
Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using Siemens NX.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure effective design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
Work efficiently with vendors and contractors to ensure timely project deliverables.
Conduct thermal simulation and analysis with industry-standard software.
Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration, utilizing 3D printing technology.
Develop and execute prototype testing processes while verifying new designs.
Maintain comprehensive documentation to track project development and design processes.
Manage the creation and upkeep of the Bill of Materials (BOM) within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Extensive experience with CAD software such as Siemens NX, Creo, or equivalent.
Familiarity with advanced 3D printing technology for prototype development.
Knowledge of Industrial Design (ID) is a plus.
Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is advantageous.
Understanding of special plastic molding techniques, particularly overmolding or ultrasonic welding, is beneficial.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
