Responsibilities

DevOps Engineering Lead

Years of Experience: 5-8 Years

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineering Lead with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the DevOps team, implementing best practices, and ensuring the smooth deployment of applications in a cloud environment. This role requires a deep understanding of GCP services and CI/CD tools to enhance our development and operational processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the DevOps team in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
  • Manage and optimize GCP resources, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices in DevOps and cloud technologies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps and cloud computing.

Mandatory Skills

  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Stackdriver.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in DevOps engineering or related roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
