Responsibilities

Job Summary:-

We are a growing retail group with multiple outlets, seeking a hands-on Finance professional to oversee full set accounting, manage financial reporting, and support business performance. The role requires strong experience in retail operations, multi-entity consolidation, and financial reporting, as well as leadership of a small finance team.



Job Responsibilities:-

Full Set Accounting & Daily Operations

  • Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations
  • Manage daily financial transactions including invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries
  • Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained in the accounting system
  • Ensure timely processing of AP and AR transactions with proper documentation and controls
  • Organise financial data into meaningful reports for management review


Financial Reporting & Monthly Management Accounts

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, schedules)
  • Ensure proper month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Perform variance analysis and provide clear commentary on financial performance
  • Maintain financial accuracy across multiple retail outlets
  • Handle financial consolidation and multi-entity reporting


Team Leadership (AR & AP)

  • Lead and supervise a small finance team (2–3 staff) covering AR and AP functions
  • Review AR aging, collections, and follow-up actions
  • Oversee AP processes including invoice verification, payment scheduling, and vendor management
  • Coach and guide team members to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance


Retail Finance, Sales Reconciliation & Commission

  • Perform and review daily sales reconciliation across POS, e-commerce, and multiple outlets
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in revenue reporting
  • Compute, validate, and manage sales commission and incentive payouts for staffs
  • Ensure commission calculations are aligned with approved schemes and timelines


Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

  • Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and highlight variances
  • Provide financial insights to support cost control and operational efficiency


Inventory & Stock Reporting

  • Prepare stock aging reports and support inventory reconciliation
  • Monitor stock movement and highlight variances or irregularities
  • Support stock take exercises and ensure proper recording of results


Audit, Compliance & Controls

  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g. SST)
  • Exposure to Singapore finance regulations (GST, ACRA, corporate tax) is an added advantage


Stakeholder Management & Business Support

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and government authorities
  • Work closely with operations, retail, marketing, and supply chain teams
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to management


Process Improvement, SOP & System Enhancement

  • Identify and implement improvements in finance processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reporting quality
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements, including accounting systems and POS integration
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for finance and accounting processes
  • Establish and enforce finance policies and internal control guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Continuously review existing workflows and recommend improvements to strengthen operational effectiveness


Requirements:-

  • Able to start working immediately
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage
  • 3-5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, preferably in retail or multi-outlet environment
  • Proven experience in financial consolidation and multi-entity reporting
  • Experience in leading a small finance team (2–3 members) is required
  • Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, inventory accounting, and retail finance operations
  • Experience in Malaysia and Singapore finance/accounting exposure is an added advantage
  • Proficient in accounting systems, ERP Systems and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and independent working ability
