Commercial Litigation Associate / Counsel (3-7 PQE)

The Role

We are recruiting on behalf of an established, independent dispute resolution boutique in Singapore. Operating as a lean, chambers-style practice, the firm handles sophisticated, high-value commercial matters typically routed to legacy Big Four institutions.

This position sits within the Commercial and Corporate Disputes team, working closely with the Deputy Managing Director, partners, and senior leadership. While primarily a heavy civil and commercial litigation role, the portfolio is uniquely varied. You will also manage select non-disputes, advisory, and transactional matters spanning the Tech, TMT, IP, and digital asset sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Litigation & Strategy: Independently running complex commercial dispute files, drafting pleadings/affidavits, and preparing appellate briefs.
• Courtroom Advocacy: Appearing independently before the State and High Courts for interlocutory applications, and acting as second-chair in major trials or arbitrations.
• Core Portfolio: Handling shareholder/JV conflicts, breach of fiduciary duties, cross-border contract claims, and civil fraud/asset recovery.
• Tech & IP Advisory: Handling non-contentious legal support on tech-related advisory, IP protection, and digital asset frameworks alongside firm leadership.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 3 to 7 years PQE with strong foundational training from a reputable Singapore firm or elite disputes practice.
• Technical Skill: Deep, working command of Singapore civil procedure and trial preparation.
• Mindset: Meticulous, analytically sharp, and comfortable managing client relationships directly in a collaborative team environment.
• References: Must be able to provide professional references upon request.
