About The Role
Lead finance systems initiatives to support product launches, system implementations, financial reporting and other projects. Ensure accurate GL accounting, strong system controls, and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, while driving process improvements and automation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead finance system support for new product launches and campaigns, translating requirements into GL accounting design. Oversee finance system changes in ensuring systems’ accounting complies to regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Ensure accurate GL postings, reconciliations and system controls are in order.
- Manage and resolve finance system issues on a timely basis.
- Provide strategic advice on system related matters to Finance business teams, recommend or initiate solutions that would benefit internal Finance in terms of operational efficiencies.
- Lead finance systems team, ensuring delivery quality and continuous improvement. Act a key liaison between Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet Finance requirements and are implemented successfully into business operations.
- Provide clear, data driven insights and highlight key issues, risks or required actions to management to support informed and timely decision-making.
- Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor/Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Computer Science and/or other related qualifications.
- Familiar with system Software Development Lifecycle, good documentation with a meticulous personality.
- Excellent leadership with strong organizational, collaboration and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
- At least 8 years of experience in similar capacity, knowledge on insurance products accounting or business process.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
