The Role
The individual in this position is responsible for pre-sales activities covering entire range of informatics products (CDS, SDMS, LIMS, ELN, Analytics etc.) tailored-made for prospective customers through regional distributors and subsidiaries across Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in Shimadzu informatics products in product configurations, functional features of existing and new software platform.
- Champion Shimadzu's informatics products and support pre-sales activities by subsidiaries and distributors in APAC region.
- Provide technical-sale support to field sales team in positioning the right informatics product solution and advise on optimal product configurations.
- Support distributors in engaging customers and responding to customers' enquiries on technical pre-sale queries.
- Demonstrate how Shimadzu's value proposal will meet customers' needs by understanding the workflows and Proof of Concept (POC).
- Provide inputs for competitor analysis of markets for similar products.
- Provide training and prepare materials, SOPs on need basis.
Requirements and Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, IT, Computer Science or equivalent with at least five years of experience working with analytical instruments.
- Marketing/ Business Development experience in CDS (Chromatography Data System) and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) that involves field activities in direct sales or distributor environment (work experience with Analytical Instrument vendors and Life Science industry is preferred).
- Experience in working within a regulated environment for the Pharmaceutical and / or Medical Device industry is preferred.
