Job Description

Responsibilities

It’s never been a more exciting time to join Vistra.

At Vistra our purpose is progress. We believe that our clients have the power to change the world and to do great things for global progress, and we exist to remove the friction that comes from the complexity of global business – to help our clients achieve progress without friction.

But progress only happens when people come together and take action. And we’re absolutely committed to building a culture where our people can do just that.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Global Internal Audit Data & Transformation Lead. Reporting to the SVP, Global Internal Audit, this full-time and permanent position is based in Kuala Lumpur and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to VISTRA's growth.

This role will be responsible to design and deploy the analytics that support our shift from sample testing to population-based, always-on assurance — starting with the live SAP S/4HANA environment. Opportunities will arise across new systems as the organisation is going through transformation of the global Tech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build and deploy AI agents: set up continuous testing and monitoring (initial use cases may include SAP user-access and segregation of duties principles, P2P payment anomaly detection, and journal-entry testing as an example) in line with Internal Audit standards/needs.
  • Support audit transition from sample-based to population-based testing: extract, transform and analyse SAP S/4HANA and source-system data and surface exceptions.
  • Partner with the business auditors in the existing team: identify opportunities to embed analytics into specific audit engagements, including financial review, regulated-entity audits and M&A integration reviews.
  • Build and maintain the Internal Audit dashboard: create “Key Risk/Issues Dashboard”, open-issue tracking and trend analysis to increase visibility and visualisation on main risks/issues arising from Internal Audit activities
  • Develop the Internal Audit analytics methodology and playbook: document design of the analytics, version control and governance over models and AI agents to lead by example.
  • Partner with the Group AI & Digital function: closely liaise and plug with the AI/Digital function at Vistra to embed good practices and understand the evolving AI/Digital ecosystem across the organisation.
  • Stay close to the tech-enabled world: bring ideas, evaluate tooling and shape how Internal Audit adopts emerging analytics and AI capabilities responsibly to support the organisation growth and transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology, accounting or business discipline.
  • 4 to 6 years of professional experience, primarily in data analytics, preferably with exposure to audit, risk, controls or finance/compliance functions.
  • Background in a Big 4 (or reputable global organisation) audit-analytics team.
  • Confident with at least one BI tool (ideally Power BI) for dashboarding and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience extracting and analysing data from ERP systems.
  • Practical exposure to AI tooling and the governance considerations of using them in a regulated context.
  • Comfortable working independently in a small team and clear communication with non-technical auditors/business stakeholders.
  • Preferred familiarity with financial controls testing, AML / CFT analytics or regulatory monitoring.
