Hiring: Microsoft Security Hypercare Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract Role

We are looking for a Microsoft Security Hypercare Engineer to support post–go-live security stabilization for Microsoft 365 environments after migration or major security uplift.

This role focuses on Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, incident triage, security configuration validation, threat response, and BAU handover support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2 / L3 security support during Microsoft Defender Hypercare phase
• Act as escalation point for L1 Service Desk and Hypercare teams
• Monitor Microsoft Defender portal for alerts and incidents
• Investigate and remediate alerts on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
• Validate post-deployment security baselines and policies
• Support Microsoft Purview including DLP policies, sensitivity labels, retention, and auditing configurations
• Identify recurring Defender agent deployment issues
• Prepare issue logs, trend analysis, stabilization reports, handover documentation, and KT materials

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Defender Security Operations
• Experience supporting post-migration or post-security rollout environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills across identity, endpoint, email, and data protection
• Familiarity with Zero Trust, ISO 27001, or NIST security frameworks
• Banking / regulated environment experience will be an advantage

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200)
• Microsoft Defender / related Microsoft Security certifications
