URGENT Hiring: Devops Engineer

Location: The Ascent, Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya

About The Role

We are urgently looking for a hands-on Tech Lead to drive system development, technical architecture, and platform reliability across our products and internal systems.

This is a critical leadership role for someone who enjoys coding, building scalable systems, and leading technical direction while working closely with Business and Operations teams.

Scope:

1. Assist in managing and monitoring sandbox, testing, staging, and production environments for cloud infrastructure services on AliCloud and AWS.
2. Support in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipeline automation, containerization with Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes .
3. Help with managing basic network and cloud operations such as domains, VPN, load balancing, DNS, and supporting in-house applications.
4. Monitor network traffic, escalate suspicious activities, and assist in quick response to unexpected issues.
5. Support troubleshooting of potential network or database security vulnerabilities and incidents, and assist in implementing basic security measures based on reports.
6. Collaborate with engineering teams to support application deployments and patch releases.
7. Maintain documentation of system processes, procedures, configurations, and deployment architectures.
8. Track and provide support for DevOps-related tasks, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution under supervision.
9. Learn and apply concepts of network topology/logic to support the implementation of security solutions.
10. Gain hands-on experience with code scanning tools (e.g., Sonarqube, Dependabot, ZAP) under guidance.
11. Learn to use application logging and monitoring tools such as ELK, Kibana, and Grafana.
12. Communicate effectively with peers and management, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
13. Demonstrate a proactive attitude and willingness to learn, with the ability to work on assigned tasks independently when required.

Requirement:

1. Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology
2. Malaysian/ Local/ Citizenship
3. Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AliCloud, AWS, or similar).
4. Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes concepts (academic or internship exposure acceptable).
5. Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing).
6. Interest in cybersecurity and willingness to learn intrusion detection, vulnerability management, and prevention tools.
7. Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to pick up new technologies.
8. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Certified in Alibaba Cloud
