Role Overview

We are seeking a Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) to join our Johor Bahru office. In this role, you will prepare and coordinate civil and structural designs, including infrastructure, water reticulation, and sewerage systems. You will work closely with project teams and consultants to ensure designs are accurate, compliant, and efficiently implemented. Fresh graduates with strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review engineering design calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
• Assist in the design and coordination of civil & structural infrastructure works.
• Coordinate with architects, clients, contractors, and authorities.
• Prepare authority submissions and respond to technical comments.
• Conduct site inspections and technical evaluations when required.
• Ensure designs comply with local authority requirements, JKR standards, Eurocode, and relevant guidelines.
• Assist Project Engineers / Resident Engineers in project implementation and coordination.
• Participate in design meetings, technical discussions, and project planning activities.
• Support preparation of tender documents, method statements, and engineering presentations.

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in consultancy design work is an added advantage.
• Knowledge in infrastructure works, drainage, earthworks, roadworks, or structural design is an advantage.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, MIDAS, PROTA ETABS, or relevant engineering software.
• Good understanding of engineering standards and authority submission processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and perform under pressure.
• Positive working attitude and willingness to learn.
