Join us as a Commis at Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills where you will be preparing All-Day Modern Asian and Western Classics dishes at our Baba Chews restaurant according to recipe standards with consistent quality and portion control.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist department head to controls and monitors departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget
• Provides support on daily operations and mise en place
• Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information
• Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
• Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
• Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
• Ensure that all relevant buffet / display set-ups are prepared ahead of guest’s arrival and in adherence with hotel standards
• Communicates politely and display courtesy to guests and internal customers
• Assists with the preparation, presentation, decoration and storage of dishes
• Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
• Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service
• Cleans and re-sets working area
• Ensure that uniforms are always clean and tidy
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

With 1 year’s related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
