Company Overview

An Offshore Company focused on the Offshore Marine industry, providing offshore support and logistics services to Oil Majors. Services include ship management, repair and maintenance, crew management, operations safety, procurement, marketing, chartering, and equipment rental.

Job Overview:
The Purchasing Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for managed vessels on behalf of ship owners. The role focuses on cost-effective sourcing, timely delivery, and strict compliance with owner requirements, management agreements, and maritime regulations. The position requires close coordination with vessel crew, technical superintendents, and global suppliers to support safe and efficient vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full procurement cycle for assigned vessels, from requisition review to purchase order issuance and delivery follow-up.

  • Source and procure marine spare parts, consumables, and services in line with budgets and specifications.

  • Obtain and evaluate multiple quotations, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with procurement policies.

  • Negotiate commercial terms, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.

  • Coordinate closely with Technical Superintendents, Fleet Managers, and vessel crew (Master/Chief Engineer) on requirements and priorities.

  • Arrange logistics and delivery to vessels globally, including coordination with port agents and freight forwarders.

  • Monitor order status to ensure timely delivery and avoid vessel downtime or operational delays.

  • Ensure all purchases comply with maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS), class requirements, and owner-specific standards.

  • Maintain approved vendor lists and ensure procurement is conducted through vetted and compliant suppliers.

  • Support audits by maintaining accurate procurement documentation and ensuring traceability.

  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.

  • 3–5 years of procurement experience in a ship management company or similar marine environment.

  • Strong understanding of ship management procurement processes and owner reporting requirements.

  • Experience handling marine MRO procurement, including spare parts and technical services.

  • Familiarity with procurement ERP system (e.g., SAP, or equivalent).

  • Good negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple vessels and competing priorities.

  • Exposure to dry docking procurement and fleet purchasing.

  • Understanding of global marine logistics, incoterms, and port agency coordination
