Responsibilities
Role: Process Engineer – FPSO Gas Compression
Industry: Oil & Gas / Offshore / FPSO
Key Responsibilities
- Perform process design for gas compression systems including PFD, P&ID, PSD, and Heat & Mass Balance
- Prepare and review Gas Compression P&IDs
- Perform Aspen HYSYS simulations
- Carry out sizing calculations for pipelines, scrubbers, pulsation bottles, coolers, and PSV systems
- Prepare PSV sizing, settle-out, and blowdown calculation reports
- Support firefighting system design and hydraulic calculations for gas compression skids
- Develop operating, control, and safeguarding philosophies
- Prepare process datasheets and line lists independently
- Prepare and review cause & effect matrices
- Lead or participate in HAZOP / LOPA / SIL reviews
- Participate in technical evaluations of equipment and instruments
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams during design reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- 3–5 years of direct hands-on experience in FPSO gas compression system engineering
- Strong understanding of offshore engineering practices and requirements
- Hands-on experience with Aspen HYSYS
- Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams delivering gas compression facilities
