About the role

We are looking for a goal-oriented Software Developer/Engineer with strong time management skills, the ability to meet project deadlines and can work independently. The ideal candidate must be able to explain complex software issues into clear and actionable solutions, while adhering to best practices. A strong focus on customer experience, system scalability, and end-user value will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and provide software solutions and technical support services for warehouse automation solutions across the Software &Integration and Customer Service and Support (CSS) departments.
• Provide ramp-upsupport aligned with customer operational requirements as part of the overall project implementation and delivery.
• Serve as a Level 3 Support Engineer on a 24/7 roster basis for at least 10 weeks per year, ensuring timely and effective WAMAS technical support for production environments in accordance with defined SLAs and on-call procedures.
• Provide Level 3 technical support for newly established sites and sites undergoing major retrofits or system upgrades.
• Train and mentor CSS Support Engineers to strengthen the team’s capability in delivering Level 2 support services.
• Identify opportunities for system enhancements, functionality improvements, and software fixes, and coordinate their implementation.
• Deliver minor enhancements, configuration updates, and code modifications.
• Conduct release testing for application updates and patches, including coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Deploy software patches and updates to customer environments as required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution and operational stability.
• Travel within the APAC and MEA regions as required to support project delivery, commissioning, and customer-related activities.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Knowledge of JSON/REST, database administration, PLC communication, Alfresco & SharePoint, Confluence and server setup.
• Strong experience in Java, HTML, CSS, SQL, Oracle Database, Unix, and networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge and experience in warehouse management systems, logistics operations, and warehouse automation processes will be advantageous.
• Ability to design, develop, test, and support software solutions based on customer requirements.
• Experience in customer site commissioning, testing, and technical support.
• Able to collaborate with local and global teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
