We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with solid experience in the Oil & Gas sector to support ongoing and upcoming projects. The role will cover electrical design, engineering deliverables, and site related activities.

Position: Electrical Engineer

Duration: 1 year (renewable)

Location: Kuala Lumpur

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is required.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience within the Oil & Gas sector (refinery, petrochemical, onshore)
• Proficient in developing key electrical engineering documents, including single line diagrams, load lists, motor control schedules, cable schedules, routing layouts, power and control schematics, hazardous area classification drawings, and earthing layouts.
• Good understanding of applicable international standards and codes related to electrical engineering design.
• Capable of handling electrical engineering activities from design phase through to site execution and supervision.
• Hands-on experience in project engineering tasks, including preparation of inquiry packages, technical and commercial bid evaluations, material take-offs (MTO), cost estimation, and coordination across disciplines.
• Familiar with a wide range of electrical systems and equipment such as transformers, high and low voltage switchgear, motor control centres (MCC), motors, UPS systems, local control stations (LCS), and communication systems.
• Competent in performing electrical studies and calculations, including cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and short circuit studies.
• Experienced in multidisciplinary coordination and reviewing vendor documents, specifications, and datasheets from other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, instrumentation).
• Office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and design tools such as AutoCAD.
