Responsibilities

Overview:

We are seeking a talented and strategic Market Development Specialist (Go-to-Market focus) to join our team. This role is open to both Junior and Mid-Seniority candidates. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) strategies that ensure our Google Cloud solutions—including cutting-edge Generative AI and data analytics—resonate with target audiences. You will serve as the bridge between our technical excellence and the market, driving high-quality lead generation and brand authority.


Responsibilities

For All Seniority Levels:

  1. GTM Execution: Implement data-driven GTM strategies tailored to specific segments (Enterprise & SMB), incorporating industry-specific messaging.
  2. Digital Marketing: Support targeted digital marketing campaigns (SEO/SEM, Google Ads) to attract and convert qualified leads.
  3. Content Support: Help develop white papers, case studies, and webinars that showcase the value of Google Cloud, Workspace, and AI solutions like Gemini.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales and pre-sales engineers to ensure marketing initiatives address real-world technical challenges.
  5. Analytics: Utilize Google Analytics and CRM tools to track campaign performance and user behavior.
  6. Ecosystem Alignment: Stay updated on Google Cloud Partner programs and co-marketing opportunities.


For Mid-Seniority Candidates (In addition to above):

  1. Strategy Leadership: Lead the identification and segmentation of high-value industries and define the long-term GTM roadmap.
  2. Campaign Optimization: Architect complex digital marketing funnels and optimize ad spend/copy for maximum ROI.
  3. Thought Leadership: Lead discovery workshops and high-level content strategy to position PointStar as an AI innovation leader.
  4. Market Intelligence: Conduct deep competitive analysis (AWS, Azure) to effectively position our unique advantages in Malaysia and Singapore.
  5. Mentorship: Guide junior specialists in marketing best practices and data-driven decision-making.


For Junior Candidates:

  1. Operational Support: Assist in the day-to-day management of social media, email campaigns, and event logistics.
  2. Data Entry & Reporting: Support documentation efforts and help compile weekly/monthly marketing performance reports.
  3. Learning & Growth: Actively participate in training to gain foundational knowledge in Google Cloud services and Generative AI use cases.


Qualifications

Required:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Experience (Junior): Fresh graduates or 1–2 years of experience with a strong demonstrable interest in B2B marketing, cloud tech, or AI.
  3. Experience (Mid-Seniority): 3–5 years of proven experience in B2B marketing, GTM strategy, or lead generation, preferably within the ICT sector.
  4. GTM Mindset: A strategic thinker who understands the customer journey and how to position technical solutions to solve business problems.
  5. Digital Skills: Proficiency in Google Ads, SEO/SEM, and Social Media Analytics.
  6. Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to simplify complex technical concepts.


Mindset Over Mastery (The PointStar Growth Clause):

Preferred:

  1. Direct experience within a cloud or IT partner environment.
  2. Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  3. Familiarity with Generative AI (Gemini, Imagen) and prompt engineering.
  4. Google Cloud certifications (e.g., Digital Leader or Cloud Engineer).
  5. Basic skills in graphic design (Canva/Adobe) or video editing.
