What this job involves

Leading the Engineering Solutions function for APAC

This is a Leadership role responsible for leading functional Solutions Engagement with the Geo and Product and Technology Organization to design an optimal, regionally and globally consistent engineering services solution for new bids and Growth opportunities. The role is the single point of contact from Engineering Operations, APAC for all major regional and global bids. In order to be effective, the Engineering Solutions Director will work closely with APAC Engineering Operations Regional Lead and Hub leads to coordinate due diligence, scope assessments and design a locally viable and regionally scalable organization structure and solution for new bids and existing clients. The role will report into the Global Engineering Solutions Structure.

This position will include bringing best engineering practices to the sales and solutioning process, all while working closely with the regional teams to improve performance and increase speed of engineering content delivery. You will…
Act as subject matter expert in engineering and critical environment/data center operations/products arena supporting the Work Dynamics business

Leverage broader JLL Engineering Operations, Product and Global Operations expertise to help Solutions Development best in class solution for Workplace services bids, renewals and expansions.

Manage and lead the sales development of the engineering specialty products and drive coordination with the department leaders to manage sales platform and pipeline reporting.

Be an active member of the Regional and Global Engineering community.

Work collaboratively with the Asia Pacific hub Engineering Operations leads and Country engineers to validate scope, conduct DDs and recommend organization structures, technology solutions and delivery solutions for Engineering to bid and renewal leads in the Solutions Development organization.

Where required engage with the Global Engineering Products and Technology team in developing a solution that is scalable, consistent while being regionally viable and pragmatic.

Support Sales and growth of Data Centre sector FM and IT services in APAC while working closely with the DC Operations Lead promoting lifecycle programs.

Participate in RFP/RFI response efforts as needed; this could include collaborating on technical responses, example deliverables, presentations, staffing model development, transition solutions and pricing exercises. Make recommendations to the bid management team on improvements to proposal language and technical deliverables.

Monitor market trends and changes to ensure that JLL provides industry best practice in the delivery of Engineering Services

Act as a liaison with the engineering organization and the Product Engineering team for continual product improvement, idea sharing, and general collaboration.

Develop and lead the bundling of engineering, specialty services and technical solutions and products to produce value added offerings.

Building strong relationships
Build strong working relationships with Business Technology, Technology Sales, SCMP and Accounts organization to help design a best-in-class engineering services solution.

Work closely with Bid teams in development of standard and customizable Sales collateral and host it on JLL SharePoint.

Work closely with Engineering Sales and Transition counterparts in other regions of EMEA, AMR and LATAM for global bids.

Implement standard business operating mechanisms such as regular team meetings, strategic review forums, training conferences and regular analysis and reporting processes to ensure team engagement and alignment and to provide an effective and efficient Engineering Solutions Development.

Maintain effective communications with external and internal clients, technical personnel and key management

An Engineering Subject Matter Expert:
An ideal candidate would have a university degree or professional qualification in engineering, and over ten years’ experience in leading engineering operations. Regional experience across geos is a big advantage
