[What the role is]

Join the Centre for Teaching and Learning Development (CTLD) at Nanyang Polytechnic, where we are committed to enhancing the quality of teaching and learning through evidence-informed practices. As an Assistant Manager in Learning Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in transforming institutional data into meaningful insights that support academic quality, flipped learning initiatives, and strategic decision-making across the polytechnic.

[What you will be working on]

  • Learning Analytics & Insights — Design and maintain dashboards and data visualisations that surface actionable insights to support teaching, learning, and academic quality across the institution.
  • Educational Data Analysis — Analyse data from the LMS, EdTech tools, and surveys to provide insights on staff and learner engagement, with a focus on supporting flipped learning and asynchronous online learning initiatives.
  • Data Integration & Preparation — Work with NYP's data infrastructure, including our institution's data lake, to extract, integrate, and prepare datasets from multiple institutional sources for analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Institutional Reporting — Coordinate data collection across schools, and clean, validate, and consolidate submissions to support internal stakeholder needs and MOE reporting requirements.
  • Data Automation & Workflow Development — Develop automated workflows and applications to streamline departmental data processes, improving the efficiency and accuracy of data collection, tracking, and reporting.

[What we are looking for]

  • Relevant qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field. Candidates with relevant qualification in Education Technology or a related discipline, combined with strong data skills, will also be considered.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field
  • Proficient in SQL and/or Python for data extraction and analysis
  • Experienced in dashboard development using data visualisation tools, preferably Power BI
  • Familiar with institutional data platforms such as Databricks, or equivalent enterprise environments
  • Experienced in developing automation workflows using Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate
  • Strong skills in data cleaning, transformation, and consolidation
  • Able to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Collaborative, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
