Research Assistant(Ref. 260515009)
[Appointment period: twelve months]
Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - “Exploring public healthcare access and utilisation among migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong: Unveiling the implications of precarity on healthcare-seeking behaviours”. He/She will be required to:
(a) conduct literature review;
(b) collect and analyse qualitative data;
(c) draft manuscripts and reports;
(d) assist in project management and administration; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.
The appointee may occasionally be required to work on irregular hours including weekday evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have an honours degree in Sociology, Social Work, Public Health, Public Policy or other related disciplines;
(b) have a good command of both written and spoken English;
(c) have experience in conducting qualitative research;
(d) have proficiency in using statistical software such as NVivo/MAXQDA;
(e) have good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(f) be proactive, responsible and independent to implement research activities according to research plans.
Preference will be given to those with proficiency in Filipino or Bahasa Indonesia.
