Are you a psychology student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on clinical experience and grow your skills in a supportive, multidisciplinary team? Join us at Us Therapy!

Position: Part-Time Assistant Psychologist Intern

Commitment: At least 6 months (up to 18 hours per week)

Working Days: Tuesday / Thursday / Friday and Saturday (9am – 5pm). Additional weekdays may be required based on clinic needs.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Reception work: client liaison, triaging, and registration
  2. Marketing tasks: writing blogs and creating clinical content for website and social media
  3. Participation in team meetings, clinic events, presentations, workshops, and community health initiatives
  4. Assist with audits, quality improvement, and policy documentation

Additional Clinical Exposure & Learning:

  • CARE Program – internship-style training for counselling and clinical psychology students
  • Team Supervision & Professional Development – weekly supervision & monthly PD sessions
  • Specialist Supervision Access – Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eating Disorders, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy
  • Shadow school visits, support assessments, and conduct individual therapy sessions under supervision

Requirements:
Diploma/ undergraduate in psychology, social work, counselling, or related field (preferred)
Relevant clinical or research experience desirable
Strong understanding of psychological principles and therapeutic techniques
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written & verbal)
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Commitment to ethics and client confidentiality

Note: This is an unpaid internship; in return, interns will have the opportunity to strengthen insight into clinical pathways and receive mentorship throughout the programme.
