Mechanical Engineering Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, machinery, and processes
• Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications
• Plan and coordinate project schedules, manpower, and resources
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements
• Provide technical guidance and resolve complex engineering and operational issues
• Work closely with production, quality, procurement, and project teams to ensure smooth execution
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and contractors when required
• Prepare reports and present project updates to management

Job Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum [10] years of relevant experience, including managerial or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and project management
• Proficient in AutoCAD / SolidWorks or similar engineering software
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
• Familiar with Singapore workplace safety and regulatory requirements

Preferred / Advantage

• Experience in manufacturing / steel / HVAC / industrial environment
• Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems
• Hands-on experience in cost control and team development
