Responsibilities
This is an operational and administrative real estate role for an Assistant Property Manager, responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties. The role focuses on assisting with property operations, tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and financial administration to ensure smooth and efficient property performance.
The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for supporting property managers in overseeing building operations, including tenant onboarding, lease administration, and occupancy management. They assist in handling tenant inquiries, resolving service requests, and ensuring that tenant concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
A key responsibility of the role is coordinating property maintenance and repairs. This includes communicating with maintenance teams, contractors, and service providers to ensure that work is completed efficiently and in accordance with safety standards and property requirements. The role also involves tracking maintenance requests and following up on completion status.
The Assistant Property Manager also supports financial and administrative tasks such as rent collection assistance, invoice processing, budget tracking, and expense reporting. They help ensure that property records are accurate and that financial procedures are followed correctly.
In addition, the role includes assisting with property inspections, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and building regulations, and supporting preparation for audits or compliance reviews. The Assistant Property Manager helps maintain the overall quality, safety, and appearance of the property.
The position also involves supporting communication between tenants, property owners, vendors, and management teams. This requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
