At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

Are you an aspiring Structural Designer ready to grow your career in a collaborative, technology‑driven environment? Join our structural design team and play a hands‑on role in turning engineering concepts into accurate 2D drawings and 3D Revit models for real‑world construction.

As a Junior Structural Designer, you will work closely with experienced Structural Designers, Structural Engineers, other disciplines, and construction partners. You’ll help develop design concepts, build models from scratch, and assist in resolving design conflicts using modern BIM tools. You will receive mentorship and guidance while also being encouraged to take ownership of your work as your skills grow.

This is an excellent opportunity for designers who are eager to learn, advance their technical abilities, and grow into intermediate and senior roles.

Here's what you'll need
  • Associate’s Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or related field.
  • 5+ years structural drafting/design experience.
  • 4 years of Revit experience
  • Experience modeling steel and concrete building elements.
  • Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination.
  • Experience with traditional steel and concrete structures
  • Experience in semi-conductor industrial or general industrial facilities
  • Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
