Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced ETL Engineer (Lead) to support a one-time Data Warehouse migration project (Netezza). This role will lead a small team and be responsible for building and executing data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and successful migration delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3–4 ETL engineers
• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines (extract, transform, load)
• Perform data migration from Netezza to target systems
• Develop and optimize stored procedures and ETL workflows
• Monitor job execution, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning
• Implement data validation and support reconciliation activities
• Collaborate with business, QA, and technical teams
• Prepare technical documentation and runbooks

Requirements

• 5–6 years of experience as a Data / ETL Engineer
• Experience leading a small technical team
• Strong hands-on experience with databases (Oracle, Netezza, MS SQL)
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and scripting
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Talend, NiFi, or similar
• Experience building stored procedures and data processing logic
• Strong experience in performance tuning and query optimization
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix commands
• Experience in Data Warehouse migration projects
• Familiar with Hadoop / Cloudera ecosystem
• Exposure to Data Warehouse and Data Lake environments

Nice to Have

• Banking or financial services experience
• Experience working in vendor/project-based environments

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
