We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives in the industrial scrap sector, focusing on precious metals. This role is key to identifying opportunities, fostering client relationships, and leading a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
Identify and develop key industries and customer accounts in Singapore and targeted regional markets, particularly within electronics and related sectors.
Formulate and implement market penetration strategies to enhance sourcing opportunities and build long-term client relationships.
Maintain updated knowledge of government regulations, environmental standards, and market trends impacting sourcing activities.
Build and oversee a pipeline of prospects and strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with commercial goals.
Collaborate with the Laboratory team to assess material recovery potential and viability.
Prepare and present proposals to establish long-term supply contracts.
Oversee the entire business development cycle from prospecting through to contract closure and account development.
Foster growth in existing customer accounts by identifying recurring business opportunities.
Lead and develop the business development team to meet revenue and profitability targets.
Set weekly and monthly performance metrics, conduct ongoing reviews, and provide coaching to enhance performance.
Personally manage high-value accounts and key opportunities.
Negotiate pricing structures, collection terms, and contract conditions that align with profitability goals.
Ensure adherence to internal risk management procedures and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with various internal teams to facilitate smooth execution and superior customer service.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in the precious metals or recycling sectors.
Demonstrated success in acquiring industrial clients and securing profitable deals.
Experience in leading and developing a sales or business development team effectively.
Strong negotiation skills, commercial insight, and professional presentation abilities.
Analytical mindset with the capability to understand customer operations and propose practical solutions.
Familiarity with Singapore and similar industrial markets is advantageous.
