Responsibilities

SP Group is a leading utilities group in the Asia Pacific, empowering the future of energy with low-carbon, smart energy solutions for its customers. It owns and operates electricity and gas transmission and distribution businesses in Singapore and Australia, and sustainable energy solutions in Singapore and China. We believe in investing in our people, to help them achieve their career aspirations. With a strong culture based on commitment, integrity, passion and teamwork, we provide a conducive environment for our people to succeed.

We are looking out for self-motivated, dynamic and talented individuals to join our growing team. If you are keen to uphold world-class grid reliability and drive a sustainable future for all, join us and make your mark in the energy industry today!

The Engineer is responsible for leading the electrical engineering design, project execution, and technical support for district cooling systems (DCS) across Singapore and regional projects. The role covers the full project lifecycle — from feasibility, design, and tendering through to construction, testing & commissioning (T&C), and handover — as well as providing operational engineering support for existing cooling plants.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead electrical design and engineering for Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, including Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, protection coordination studies, and technical specifications
  • Ensure compliance with local standards (Singapore Standard SS 638, Energy Market Authority regulations) and international standards (International Electrotechnical Commission and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) while optimising designs for energy efficiency
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Mechanical, Instrumentation and Control (I&C), and control systems teams to deliver integrated system designs
  • Manage end-to-end electrical project execution from design to commissioning, including engineering documents, technical drawings, and tender specifications
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors; lead technical meetings and manage Technical Queries (TQs), Variation Orders (VOs), and design changes
  • Oversee testing and commissioning activities, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), system energisation, and preparation of as-built drawings, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, and test reports
  • Provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and capital expenditure (CAPEX) lifecycle planning for electrical systems
  • Support tendering and business development activities, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, and mentoring junior engineers

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from a university recognised by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board (PEB)
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
  • Proven experience in MV/LV power distribution systems for industrial or utility plants, district cooling, chiller plants, HVAC, data centres or similar critical infrastructure
  • Experience in regional/overseas projects (SEA, Macau, etc.) is an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good data management skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working across multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, I&C, project management)

What We'll Provide:
  • Immerse in a positive work environment that promotes/fosters teamwork and collaboration
  • You will receive attractive remuneration for good performance.
  • You will work in teams that thrive on collaboration for outstanding achievements
