Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive OCPAdministrator / Support Engineer to manage, monitor, and support our OpenShiftContainer Platform (OCP) environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-onexperience with container platforms, Linux administration, automation, andproduction support operations. This role requires participation in rotationalshifts to provide 24x7 operational support and ensure high availability ofmission-critical platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) clusters across development, test, and production environments.
- Monitor cluster health, performance, capacity, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Perform incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for platform-related incidents.
- Support application deployment, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
- Manage cluster upgrades, patching, backups and disaster recovery activities.
- Configure and maintain platform security, user access controls, certificates and network policies.
- Work closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, Middleware and Application teams for platform support and optimization.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Prepare operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on-call support and rotational shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and SLA commitments.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
- Experience with:
CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD
Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Dynatrace
Scripting using Bash, Python, or Shell scripting
Networking concepts, DNS, Load Balancers, Ingress, Routes
Identity and Access Management (LDAP, SSO, RBAC)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Ansible or Terraform is preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years of IT infrastructure/platform support experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on OpenShift / Kubernetes administration experience.
- Experience supporting production environments in enterprise organizations.
- Exposure to ITIL processes and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.

Educational Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise container platforms in banking, telecom, or large-scale environments.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and container security.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud and microservices architecture.
Shift Requirement
- Mandatory willingness to work in rotational shifts.
- Provide L2/L3 production support during scheduled shifts and on-call rotations.
- Support may include weekends and public holidays based on operational requirements.
