The role will be reporting to the Manager, Corporate Governance and will be based in Malaysia.

The role will be responsible for overseeing and uplifting its corporate governance system of rules, practices, and processes used to guide and manage a company.

  • Support the periodic review and annual refresh of corporate policies and governance documents to ensure accuracy, regulatory alignment, and relevance to business operations.
  • Review proposed policy amendments and assist in assessing clarity, completeness, and alignment with existing governance standards.
  • Identify potential overlaps, inconsistencies, or conflicts across policies and escalate findings with recommended improvements.
  • Maintain proper documentation, version control, and tracking of policy approvals and amendments within the centralized policy repository.
  • Perform periodic governance testing and monitoring to assess adherence to approved policies and governance requirements.
  • Document review findings, track remediation actions, and follow up with policy owners to ensure timely resolution of identified gaps.
  • Provide support to business stakeholders in drafting and updating policies, ensuring consistency in format and structure.
  • Assist in preparing governance reports and updates for management and relevant committees.
  • Support regulatory inspections, internal audits, and external reviews relating to corporate governance matters.
  • Contribute to governance awareness initiatives and communication efforts to reinforce policy ownership and accountability across the organization.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4–7 years of experience in corporate governance, internal controls, risk management, compliance, or related functions.
  • Basic understanding of corporate governance principles and policy management frameworks.
  • Experience in policy documentation, review processes, and governance reporting is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional certifications such as CGI/ICSA qualification (Chartered Governance Professional) can be a plus.
