About The Role

Join CBRE’s Global Litigation team as a Senior Litigation Counsel based in Singapore. In this role, under the general direction of and as part of the Global Litigation team, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of claims, litigation, and regulatory matters across Asia.

What You'll Do

  • Manage claims, disputes, and litigation brought by and against the company.
  • Manage all aspects of external counsel engagement, including communications, budget management and reviewing service levels.
  • Advise internal business and legal teams on the company’s position, risk appetite, and strategy in disputes.
  • Investigate claims and complaints by or against the company, preparing detailed reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Compliance, Investigations, Employment) to develop strategic solutions and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and recommend policy and process enhancements and best practices based on lessons learned from legal disputes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant legal developments impacting the company.
  • No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position, but may mentor and partner with junior attorneys and professional staff.

What You'll Need

  • Admission to the Singapore Bar with a minimum of 10 years of in-house or private practice litigation experience. Member of Bar in good standing.
  • Experience managing significant cases (e.g., $1+ million). Trial experience preferred.
  • Exceptional ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to critical issues.
  • Strong financial acumen, including the ability to interpret business analyses and reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations on complex topics to management, employees and third parties.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities to address complex situations and competing interests strategically.
  • Ability to make legal decisions with a thorough understanding of Company procedures, policies, and business practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain excellent organizational skills.
  • A team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Singapore without the need for work pass or visa sponsorship now or in the future.
