Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Muar for a Site Engineer. The Site Engineer will be responsible for managing on-site civil, structural, and earthworks-related activities, with strong emphasis on construction progress monitoring, project coordination, schedule adherence control and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery. Key responsibilities include quality control, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards, and managing various aspects of structural and civil engineering tasks related to bio-LNG infrastructure projects.

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and technical project activities
• Monitor and oversee civil, structural, and earthworks activities at site to ensure
• compliance with project specifications and construction schedules
• Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams
• Track construction progress and ensure adherence to approved project timelines and milestones
• Assist in identifying construction delays, bottlenecks, and site execution risks, while proposing mitigation measures
• Review and monitor contractor work programs, progress reports, and site productivity
• Support overall project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting to management
• Review engineering drawings, method statements, and technical documentation related to civil and structural works
• Monitor site activities related to Earthworks, Foundations, Reinforced concrete structures, Structural steel works, Drainage and infrastructure works, and access roads and site development
• Participate in site inspections, coordination meetings, and construction planning discussions
• Ensure construction activities comply with project quality, local regulatory and safety requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related engineering / Project Management disciplines

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Civil, Earthworks and structural projects, Industrial plant, Oil & Gas, Energy infrastructure, Utilities, Process facilities, EPC project management.

• Strong on-site management skills to oversee construction and project implementation effectively
• Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with team members, contractors, and stakeholders
• Proficiency in Quality Control processes to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards
• Technical expertise in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering principles and applications

Experience with project scheduling or reporting tools such as: Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or Excel-based progress tracking

• Ability to adapt to on-site challenges and implement practical solutions
• Experience in energy or renewable energy sectors is a plus
• Familiarity with bio-LNG processes or technologies is an advantage

Willingness to travel between project locations when required

• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities

Mandatory Requirements

• Possess a valid driving license in Malaysia
• Preferably own transportation for travel within the project region
