Company Description
AMILI is Southeast Asia's leading precision gut microbiome company, based in Singapore. It operates the region's first gut microbiome transplant bank and hosts the world's largest multi-ethnic Asian gut microbiome database. For more information, visit *************
Location: Singapore (on-site)
Duration: 6 months minimum
Cohort 1: July 2026 – January 2027
Cohort 2: January 2027 – July 2027
Stipend: Standard intern rates, hosted under AMILI
About this role
This is not a typical internship. You will work directly alongside Dr. Jeremy Lim who is Co-Founder and CEO of AMILI. Dr. Jeremy operates across AMILI, Oliver Wyman, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, HealthServe Ltd, Mount Alvernia Hospital, and more and so will you. That means real exposure across biotech, clinical care, strategy, and advocacy, all within a single role. Few internships anywhere in Singapore give you access to this breadth, at this level, this early in your career.
What you'll do
There is no fixed job description. You will move fluidly across whatever is most needed, which may include:
• Supporting clinical research, biotech innovation and day-to-day operations at AMILI
• Contributing to health systems design, financing models, and strategy work
• Assisting with advocacy and public health policy initiatives
• Preparing materials for senior health leaders and decision-makers across Singapore and the region
• Attending high-level meetings and engagements across multiple organisations
What makes this different
• Real exposure. You will be in the room, not watching from outside it.
• Multi-organisation breadth. No two weeks look the same.
• Direct mentorship. You work with and learn from Dr. Jeremy directly.
• Irregular hours, extraordinary outcomes. Hard work is part of the deal but so is the adventure.
Who we are looking for
• Above all else, a "can do" attitude. You're comfortable with ambiguity, happy to roll up your sleeves, and you take ownership of your work even when there's no clear playbook. You figure things out, and you follow through.
• Genuinely passionate about healthcare, whether that's clinical medicine, biotech, public health, policy, strategy, or financing. You don't need to have it all figured out. What matters is that you care deeply about how health systems work and want to spend your days trying to make them better.
Eligibility to work in Singapore
You must have the legal right to work in Singapore for the duration of the internship. There are two paths:
Already based in Singapore: If you are a citizen or PR you are eligible to apply regardless of whether you are a student, graduate, or neither.
Require a visa: The only visa applicable for this internship is the Work Holiday Pass (Work Holiday Programme). You may apply for this if you meet all of the following:
• Aged 18–25 at the time of application
• You are an undergraduate or graduate of a government-recognised university in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, the UK, or the US.
If you require a Work Holiday Pass, you are responsible for organising and obtaining it yourself (its a self sponsored pass and AMILI will not be involved in filing this) before commencing the internship. AMILI will not be able to sponsor alternative visa types.
How to apply
