Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate and skilled AI Hardware Engineer to join our team in developing next-generation AI acceleration technologies. This role focuses on cutting-edge AI architectures, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Generative AI (GenAI), and offers the opportunity to contribute to state-of-the-art AI engine design. Your work will directly impact real-world AI applications across industries.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-performance AI Accelerator Engines, including implementation of specific neural network layers.
  • Develop demonstration platforms and reference designs for customer engagements, roadshows, and evaluations.
  • Develop high-quality RTL code (Verilog/SystemVerilog preferred) and ensure design robustness through linting, clock domain crossing (CDC) checks, and design verification processes.
  • Continuously optimize AI accelerator performance, power, and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support for internal teams and external customers regarding AI accelerator-related inquiries and issues.
  • Perform power and thermal characterization measurements.
  • Debug hardware-related issues using tools such as Efinity Debugger, oscilloscope, multimeter, and current probes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3 years+ of experience in FPGA product or IP development.
  • Strong RTL design experience using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Familiarity with embedded software development on RISC-V processors is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of frontend design methodologies and digital design principles.
  • Experience with FPGA development flows and scripting (Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Experience in IP integration at chip or subsystem level.
  • Hands-on board-level debugging experience using oscilloscope, power supply, multimeter, and current probes.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as ModelSim or equivalent industry-standard simulators.
  • Familiarity with Git, Jira, and standard version control/project tracking tools.
