Responsibilities

Job Summary

Support construction project execution by managing M&E works, coordinating teams and clients, performing quality control, and ensuring timely completion of electrical, HVAC, fire protection, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and Senior Engineer in executing construction site activities to meet project timelines and quality standards
  • Calculate material quantities and prepare accurate bills of materials for procurement and project planning
  • Assist the Commercial Department in procuring materials to ensure timely availability and cost efficiency
  • Coordinate, implement, and manage all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works to maintain project progress and compliance
  • Perform quality control inspections at construction sites to identify and resolve defects and discrepancies
  • Review construction drawings to detect inconsistencies and ensure alignment with project specifications
  • Manage and control progress, drawings, materials, samples, and method statement submissions for Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, Plumbing, and Sanitary works to ensure quality and timely completion
  • Coordinate internally with Structural and Architectural teams to align project requirements and resolve issues
  • Liaise with client representatives to manage service diversions, technical issues, certification, documentation, and as-built drawings

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, HVAC, Mechatronics, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with exposure to MEP design and construction site operations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and related project software
  • Good understanding of Singapore Code of Practice and authority submission processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Interest in developing a career in the construction industry
  • Vision to become a registered Professional Engineer
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
