Role Description
Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with 8-10 years of hands-on testing experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in automation testing, solid understanding of test frameworks, and hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in Software Testing, with strong focus on automation.
- Proven experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Good programming skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, or any similar language.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, QA processes, and SDLC.
- Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, etc.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
- Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize automation scripts.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave, etc.).
- Proven experience with other major automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS) and testing in cloud native or CI/CD driven environments.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
- Exposure to cloud testing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks.
- Create, enhance, and execute automated test scripts for web and API applications.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving automation best practices.
- Perform root-cause analysis of defects and ensure timely resolution. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies to improve automation efficiency.
