The successful candidate will be part of the Load Control Unit of Kris Business Hub (KBH), a Malaysia-based entity providing corporate and operational services in Kuala Lumpur.
The Load Control Unit keeps each flight balanced, safe and compliant. The load control team decides how to distribute passengers, cargo and baggage, then runs weight-and-balance calculations to develop an accurate load plan. By optimising how weight is distributed across the aircraft, load control helps maximise fuel efficiency and aircraft performance while preventing overloading and maintaining the aircraft’s structural integrity.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible to:
- Develop a Quality Assurance process to track performance of the centre.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manuals, and training documentation for load control processes.
- Plan, schedule, and deliver initial and recurrent training for Load Control Officers (LCOs) and new hires, including classroom, on-the-job, and e-learning modules.
- Lead or coordinate regular audits, quality checks, and process reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards (CAAS, IATA, ICAO).
- Analyse operational incidents, errors, and audit results; identify root causes and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and technology advancements for incorporation into documentation and training.
- Collaborate with IT, Safety & Security, and operations teams to implement process enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Maintain training records, certifications, and audit documentation.
- Support change management efforts during process, system, or regulatory transitions.
- Act as point of contact for external audits/inspections relating to quality or training.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Load Control.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. A technical background would be advantageous
- Prior experience in managing the quality assurance function for an operations unit
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Critical and logical mindset with strong attention to details
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Prior experience in load control, and certifications in Weight & Balance and Dangerous Goods Regulations are advantageous
- 4-5 years of experience in airline operations is advantageous
The successful candidate will undergo approximately 2 and a half months of training in order to obtain the necessary certifications and licenses for the load control function.
