Job Description

Responsibilities

Applications are invited for the above position in Generation Business Group. Reporting to the Team Leader, the appointee will be assigned to multi-disciplinary work teams responsible for the effective maintenance of plant and equipment within the assigned area. Major duties include: -

  • Carry out inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair works on HRSG-related mechanical equipment.

  • Perform maintenance and repair works on valves and pumps including dismantling, inspection, alignment, installation and testing.

  • Ensure maintenance work activities are carried out safely, properly and up to the according to the required engineering standard.

  • Supervise maintenance activities welding, lifting, rigging, and mechanical repair activities on site.

  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety procedures, permit-to-work requirements and site regulations.

  • Report work progress, site issues, defects and safety concerns to the responsible engineer.

  • Check, identify and prepare necessary spare parts, tools, materials and consumables in advance to support planned and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Support station operation through participation in Maintenance-Operator. Carry out operational activities under assignment.
     

Requirements:

  • A Higher Certificate or Higher Diploma in Mechanical or Engineering discipline related plus 2 years’ relevant experience or an Ordinary Certificate in Mechanical or Engineering discipline related plus 4 years’ relevant experience.

  • Solid experience in maintenance of water tube boiler or high-pressure steam system or heavy machinery equipment.

  • Familiar with Safety, Health and Environment related regulations and ordinances and possess good safety awareness.

  • General computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Office.

  • Proven supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
