Veolia Hiring! Full Time Maintenance Technician (Mechanical) in Islands, Hong Kong - Ricebowl

Responsibilities

• To carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on a variety of plant and apparatus including pressure vessels (boiler, heat exchanger, air & water tank), rotating equipment( conveyor, pumps, fans, compressor) piping & valves system, etc.

• To report, diagnose and remedy plant defects, proposing improvements where appropriate

• To propose and develop modifications to plant /apparatus as appropriate

• To liaise with operations staff and other maintenance staff as appropriate

• To supervise Contractors staff as appropriate

• Maintain the workshop and other work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition

• Carry out duties associated with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures, including audits as appropriate

Requirements

• Diploma holder or above in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 / 5 years’ experience gained in maintenance of Mechanical equipment.  Experience in heavy industry or waste to energy industry is preferable. 

• Good communication with staff at all levels

• Able to work a Rota that includes some weekend working to give overall maintenance cover 365 days per year

• Able to be contacted, and attend site, outside of normal hours if required

• Computer literate and able to train in computer maintenance management system (CMMS)

• good communication and organizational skills, able to work with other operation and maintenance team members and contractors
