Position Summary:The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness,hygiene, and overall tidiness in guest rooms and public areas of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Room Maintenance:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms, including makingbeds, changing linens, and replenishing amenities.
- Ensure all surfaces, furniture, and fixtures aredusted and sanitized.
Public Areas:
- Clean and maintain the cleanliness of publicareas, such as lobbies, corridors, and restrooms.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors as needed.
Stock Replenishment:
- Ensure that all necessary supplies, such astowels, toiletries, and linens, are well-stocked in guest rooms.
- Report any shortages or defects in supplies tothe Housekeeping Supervisor.
Laundry Coverage:
- Cover laundry duty, including the meticulouscollection and delivery of guest laundry.
- Conduct a thorough count of soiled linen andensure the efficient distribution of freshly cleaned linen to uphold thehighest standards of guest satisfaction.
Guest Interaction:
- Interact with guests in a courteous andprofessional manner when encountered.
- Respond promptly to guest requests foradditional items or services.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Properly use and maintain housekeepingequipment, including vacuum cleaners and cleaning tools.
- Report any malfunctioning equipment to themaintenance department.
Defect Identification:
- Identify and report any defects, damages, ormaintenance issues in guest rooms or public areas.
- Report any lost and found items to theHousekeeping Supervisor.
Security and Confidentiality:
- Adhere to security and confidentiality policieswhen entering guest rooms or handling personal belongings.
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines toensure a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to theHousekeeping Supervisor.
Shift Reporting:
- Provide shift reports to the HousekeepingSupervisor, highlighting completed tasks and any outstanding issues.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other housekeeping staff anddepartments to ensure a coordinated and efficient workflow.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- No experience required but previous experiencein housekeeping or a similar role is advantageous.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manualtasks and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of ateam.
- Excellent time management and organizationalskills.
- Understanding of safety and hygiene standards.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to start work immediately or short notice will be an advantage
Full Time / Permanent / 5 working days / Up to 3 shift work (1st Shift starting at 0830hrs and 3rd Shift ending at 2200hrs) / weekends and PH / meals, shift allowance / Incentive
