Digital Division’s IT Group (ITG) supports the IT needs for DSO’s enterprise and R&D functions. ITG oversees the development and operations of core IT infrastructure, enterprise networks, and enterprise applications.
Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer (Structured Cabling)
In this role, you will:
- Be part of the Network Infrastructure team to ensure that DSO enterprise IT networks and systems are developed and deployed in an efficient and robust manner towards a high level of maintainability, reliability and availability.
- Provide technical expertise for planning and executing structured cabling projects, including network rack design for office expansions, new builds, and renovations.
- Define infrastructure requirements for network facilities such as Main Distribution Frames (MDF), Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF), cable trays, pathways, rack spaces, and power/cooling needs.
- Lead project management activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of structured cabling, aligned with business operations such as office move-ins or expansion schedules.
- Manage and coordinate third-party vendors and contractors for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce internal standards and best practices for structured cabling, ensuring cable labeling, asset tracking, and documentation accuracy.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation including cable schedules, rack layouts, patch panel mapping, fiber topology diagrams, and as-built drawings.
- Optimize network and system performance while ensuring compliance with IT security policies and requirements.
- Troubleshoot enterprise IT network issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Promote productivity through automation and scripting for routine infrastructure and operational tasks.
