Position : ProTech Assistant Manager
Salary : RM 5,500 – RM 8,000
Location : Desa Aman Puri, Kepong
Working Days / Time : 8.30am – 5.30pm (Mon-Fri)
Job Summary
We are seeking a ProTech Assistant Manager to oversee ICT infrastructure, Managed Services, and internal IT operations. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and planning capabilities to ensure efficient team coordination, reliable service delivery, and alignment of IT solutions with business and client objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day ICT infrastructure, Managed Services, and internal IT operations to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability
- Plan, coordinate, and support delivery of ICT and Managed Services projects in line with client requirements, timelines, and SLAs
- Lead and supervise ProTech and Internal IT teams by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring effective collaboration and service delivery
- Oversee Managed Services operations such as cloud, network, cybersecurity, and IT support, ensuring adherence to ITIL or similar frameworks
- Act as a key liaison for clients and internal stakeholders, providing updates, gathering requirements, and ensuring service expectations are met
- Provide advanced technical support for escalated ICT, network, or system issues, coordinating with vendors and internal teams for resolution
- Monitor service performance, prepare operational reports, and track SLA compliance and system health metrics
- Identify and implement improvements in ICT, Managed Services, and IT operations to enhance efficiency and service quality
- Maintain accurate documentation for systems, processes, project plans, and service records
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards across all IT services
- Support resource planning, capacity management, and budgeting for IT and Managed Services initiatives
- Assist in training, onboarding, and developing technical team members to enhance skills and performance
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), CompTIA, or equivalent is an advantage
- Strong understanding of ICT infrastructure including servers, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity
- Hands-on experience with Managed Services tools such as ITSM platforms, remote monitoring, and backup solutions
- Knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, or similar service management frameworks
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus
- Proven experience in supervising or coordinating technical teams
- Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Experience working with vendors and managing stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly
- Customer-focused mindset with experience in client-facing roles
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Typically 3–5 years of experience in IT support, system/network administration, or related roles, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial capacity
- Willingness to work flexible hours or be on-call when required
- Strong documentation and service management discipline
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
